International Conference “Russia – Japan – China – the Republic of Korea:
History, Theory, Practice and Modern Prospects of Cultural Cooperation”
within
the International Crossover project “Musical Comrades”
Peoples of Russia, Japan, China and Korea have always made twinning of their cities and towns one of the priorities in their relations. Consequently, they have implemented a number of valuable and unique forms of cultural cooperation to strengthen good neighbour relations. The Crossover Festival “Musical Comrades” will be marked by the 30th anniversary of twinning Novosibirsk and Sapporo, and it will be held in anticipation of the jubilees of twinning with Daejeon (2021) and Shenyang (2023). The Project includes official, artistic and scientific parts.
We invite college and university teachers and students, postgraduates, PhD students, scientific and research institutes workers, staff members of museums, archives, representatives of municipalities, cultural and educational centres, concert organisations to participate in the International Conference “Russia – Japan – China – the Republic of Korea: History, Theory, Practice and Modern Prospects of Cultural Cooperation”.
The conference is devoted to thorough understanding of the achievements of Russian oriental studies, analysis of steps taken together by notable figures of the four countries in the art sphere throughout historical evolvement.
Conference schedule:
25 September 10.00-12.30 – Section “Russia-China: in anticipation of the jubilee of twinning Novosibirsk and Shenyang”
25 September 13.00-15.30 – Section “Russia-the Republic of Korea: in anticipation of the jubilee of twinning Novosibirsk and Daejeon”
26 September 10.00 — 15.00 – Section “Russia-Japan: 30th anniversary of twinning Novosibirsk and Sapporo”
Time limit is up to 15 minutes.
Selected articles will be published in the scientific journal of the Novosibirsk Conservatoire “Vestnik muzykalnoy nauki” (“Herald of the Musical Science”) which is about to enter the International scientific database Web of Science. Financial conditions: travelling and accommodation expenses of the conference participants shall be covered by the organisations sending them. Registration fees will not be taken. The conference will be held in person or online (depending on the regulations in force at the time of the event). In both cases, it is assumed the possibility of remote participation in the conference using video conferencing facilities. In the event that the event is held online, all participants (speakers and listeners) will receive an invitation link to the video conferencing platform and instructions on how to use the system by e-mail at least one day before the start of the event. Presentations in the format of video reports are possible.
